This year I traveled more than I probably ever have in my entire life. I went to Copenhagen, Malmö, Paris, London, San Antonio, NYC, 2 Hawaii islands, and of course all over NC.

I knew I wanted to travel this year but I never really had specifics and just kinda winged it. This was a hard year emotionally and I feel like the best thing to do is just travel and escape all your problems. ( I kid) but really all that travel was such an escape. I had so many amazing experiences, ruined my sleep schedule, and for sure didn’t save any money this year.

But I also realized so much about myself. I realized I love photography, but I had grown tired of how I was doing this. I didn’t feel as creative and wasn’t sure what was missing. I decided to challenge myself to take photos and Super 8 on as many trips as possible.

I didn’t even know if the Super 8 camera worked because I bought it for $12 at an estate sale. Playing with that Super 8 re-sparked my creative side when it came to photography. I also began to finally try film cameras again. I have a small collection of them but I truly haven’t touched them since I got them. I just felt like I would never use them for work so what was the point.

But anyway I’m really happy with how the creative side of all of this worked out. So. here is a carefully curated collection of my year of travel. Enjoy
